The National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) is a museum dedicated to the history, philosophy, and applications of mathematics located in New York City. It is the only museum of its kind in North America. The museum is located on the west side of Fifth Avenue between 26th and 27th Streets, in the Flatiron District of Manhattan. MoMath is founded on the premise that mathematics is not only a vast and fascinating field, but also a powerful tool for understanding and appreciating the world. The museum strives to enhance public understanding and perception of mathematics through interactive exhibits and programs that are both educational and entertaining. MoMath opened to the public on December 15, 2012. The museum is open seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm.
