Virtual Tour - Foyer

Arna Bontemps began his writing career as a poet and edited both poetry collections and anthologies. Second only to his fiction, the poetry of Bontemps constitutes his most important contribution to American letters. Although Bontemps' output of poetry was small (thirty poems), he is considered a gifted poet of the Harlem Renaissance.
